HOW TO MAKE IRO AND BUBA (RUFFLE NECK STYLE)

Step 1

Fold your fabric in two

I used 28″ by 29″ and when on fold, I have 14″(that is 28/2) by 29″

(My measurement might differ from yours)

Step 2

Place a sleeveless cloth that you will be using as pattern on your folded fabric

Note: If you are using your cloth as pattern, please endeavor to add at least 1″ or 2″ as seam allowance when cutting.

Step 3

Following the shape of your cloth, cut off the excess fabric ( remember to add 1 or 2 inches allowance before cutting out the excess fabric)

Step 4

Neck Measurement

Width: I used 8″ and since it’s on fold, I have 4″(that is 8/2)

Depth: I used 5″

(My measurement might differ from yours)

After marking your measurement, connect it with a curve (Picture below)

Step 5

Using your scissors, carve out the curve and hem the edges of your armhole and bottom of your fabric.

Repeat step 1 to 5 for the back bodice.

Step 6

Sew the top and side edges together
